Pioneering dance sensation returns to the London stage
Burn The Floor first brought the world of ballroom dancing to audiences en masse in 1999, paving the way for cult Saturday night TV shows such as Strictly Come Dancing here in the UK and Dancing With The Stars across the pond in the US, which now enjoy phenomenal popularity.
The show in London stars many international championship dancers, with special guest stars Kristina Rihanoff and Robin Windsor. Both dancers have featured in the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, as well as creative director Jason Gilkison, who worked on the TV show as a guest judge and choreographer.
Burn The Floor features ballroom dancing in the ‘international style’ (as opposed to the more recognised ‘dancesport’ style) which includes classic styles such as the Waltz, Swing and Foxtrot, as well as Latin styles such as Samba, Tango and Cha Cha Cha.
If you’re already a fan of ballroom dancing, Burn The Floor’s new show in London promises to be a night of breathtaking and magnificent dance. You never know, it might also convert the few that haven’t yet been taken in by the craze yet!
Please note, Robin Windsor and Kristina Rihanoff will appear in the show from 6th March to 29th June. They will not be performing on the last show on the 30th June 2013.
