Show description – Sing Along Frozen
For a limited run starting on 18 February 2015, Frozen will be screened at the Dominion Theatre. Disney’s Oscar winning animated feature film will be played in high definition with lyrics onscreen, encouraging audiences to stand up, clap and sing-along, in a truly traditional singsong style.
Since the Disney fantasy film was released in 2013 it has taken the world by storm having been dubbed as Disney’s best animated feature film and musical since the studio’s renaissance era.
Accumulating almost $1.3 billion in global box office revenue, Frozen ranks as the highest-grossing animated film of all time.
The plot is centred on Elsa, Princess of Arendelle, who possesses magical powers that enable her to produce frost, ice and snow. On fleeing the castle, Elsa – the ‘Snow Queen’ – inadvertently traps in kingdom under an eternal winter.
Anna, Elsa’s fearless sister, seeks to find Elsa with the help of Kristoff, an extreme mountaineer and his sidekick reindeer Sven.
The three embark on an epic journey to find Anna’s sister and end her icy spell. The journey takes them to magic round every corner, encountering mysterious trolls, a snowman named Olaf and extreme mountain conditions and they battle against the elements to save the Snow Queen and rescue the kingdom from destruction.
Frozen features the voices of Idina Menel as Elsa and Kristen Bell as Anna.
