Much Ado About Nothing is presented as a sequel to Christopher Luscombe’s Love’s Labour’s Lost, which is transferring to the Theatre Royal Haymarket for a limited run in December. Much Ado About Nothing is also referred to as Love’s Labour’s Won.
The play is set at the end of the First World War and centres on two comrades, Claudio and Benedick, who, after surviving the horrors of the trenches, return home and attempt to rekindle romance with their loved ones.
Desperate to put their horrific experiences behind them, the men are wanting to reacquaint themselves with their lovers, but, as with almost every Shakespearean comedy, things don’t quite go to plan.
