For one night only the stars of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing show, Pasha and Katya star in an evening of dance at the Lyric theatre.

On Monday 7th April at 7.30 p.m. Pasha Kovelev and Katya Virshilas will be on stage in a spectacular display of Latin and Ball room dancing.

Pavel “Pasha” Kovalev s a Russian professional Latin and Ballroom dancer. Pasha started dancing at age eight. In 2001 he moved to the United States and since 2007 has been one of the stars of the U.S. series ‘So You Think You Can Dance’.

In 2011 Pasha joined the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing was partnered with Waterloo Road actress, Chelsee Healey.The two made it all the way to the finals, finishing as the runners-up to Harry Judd and his partner Aliona Vilani.

He reached the finals again in 2012 with Girls Aloud singer, Kimberley Walsh finishing as the runner-up for a second series. For the current series Pasha was partnered with Countdown co-presenter Rachel Riley and they were eliminated in week 6.

Pasha’s professional partner is Katya Virshilas a Lithuanian-Canadian professional dancer and actress.

Katya was a Vancouver British Columbia Dancesport Champion four times, from 1998 to 2002. She was a star in the first series of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’. Subsequently she appeared as a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing in 2009 partnering cricketer Phil Tufnell. They were knocked out of the competition in week 9.
