Calling all Lee Mead fans…  For one night only the Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat star will perform at the Garrick Theatre

Lee Mead to star at the West End this Christmas 

On Sunday 7 December 2014 the Garrick Theatre will open its doors to a Christmas With Lee Mead. The talented actor and musician will perform his best known and favourite songs with the additional attraction of Stephen Rahman-Hughes as a special guest.  

An overnight Joseph sensation

Lee Mead was propelled to overnight stardom when he staved off competition in the BBC television casting show Any Dream Will Do and won the title role in the Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

His leading role in the West End revival of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat earned Mead a string of great reviews.

With “affable charisma” and enchanting the audience, “Lee Mead… turns out to be both talented and enthusiastic,” wrote The Times.

An established name in London theatre

Following an acclaimed performance as Joseph, Lee Mead went on to star in other prominent West End shows, including taking over the role of Emmett in Legally Blonde in the West End in 2011. The same year the blossoming actor and singer moved into television, guest starring in an episode of Casualty.

In 2013 the increasingly well-known actor returned to the West End when he starred alongside Matt Willis in the West End Men in concert at the Vaudeville Theatre.

Having also played Fiyero in Wicked, the former husband of Denise Van Outen is now established as one of the leading names in musical theatre. The talented young star has also played the leading role in a national tour of Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime by Oscar Wilde.

Stephen Rahman-Hughes to make a guest appearance 

A Christmas with Lee Mead will include a performance with Stephen Rahman-Hughes. Rahman-Hughes is also well-acquainted with West End auditoriums, playing the leading role in Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s West End musical Bombay Dreams. The popular English actor was also a founder of the West End Men concert show.

On Sunday December 7, 2014 the Garrick Theatre will showcase the both Mead’s and Rahman-Hughes talents as a Christmas with Lee Mead promises to enchant audiences in the run-up to the festive season.
