2015 excitement is beginning to escalate on the West End. And the latest announcement about next year’s London theatreland action will certainly take some beating in the exciting stakes…. The Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games is coming to the Dominion Theatre…

Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games will be at the Dominion in 2015

Theatre lovers, critics and Michael Flatley fans were whipped into intense exhilaration earlier this year when it was announced a new staging of the Lord of the Dance was to make its world premiere at the London Palladium.

A show that ‘pulls out all the stops’

Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Game’s opening night at the Palladium on September 1, was commended for “pulling out all the stops” and delivering “an entertaining evening of undeniable talent.”

The West End incarnation of the legendary Lord of the Dance has seen Michael Flatley treating himself on what is believed to be his final West End performance to what one critic referred to as a “Michael Jackson-esque king”.

Besides a cast that is each more beautiful than the next, the critically-acclaimed show features the latest technology and occasional 3D holograms, skipping violinists and Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle belting out several numbers.

Extending the Irish dance enchantment

Given the Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games’ current success and phenomenal popularity at the London Palladium, where it is running for a limited eight-week period, it would make sense for the magic of the legendary Irish dance spectacular to be extended to the Dominion Theatre.

It has now been confirmed that the Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games will run for a five-month period at the Dominion Theatre from early 2015.

A show which has become the biggest grossing tour in the history of entertainment, having been seen by more than 60 million people in 60 different countries on every continent, will certainly ensure the West End starts the year in delightfully flamboyant and self-indulgent style.
