The American singer, songwriter and saxophonist will play to an audience at the Lyric Theatre on February 2, 2015.

In 2001 the ultra-versatile musician reinvented himself as a jazz vocalist and became dubbed as ‘the Frank Sinatra of modern times.’

With 12 albums to his name, Stigers has enjoyed a number of awards. In 2003 his album ‘You Inspire Me’ was voted by the London Times as ‘Jazz Album of the Year’. In 2007 the iconic artist was named by BBC Radio 2 as the ‘Jazz Artist of the Year. Three years later the German Jazz Echo voted him as ‘Best International Male Jazz Singer.’

Stigers has played and recorded with many musical legends, including Elton John, Eric Clapton, Joe Cocker, Rod Stewart, Prince, The Allman Brothers and George Benson, amongst others.

On Monday 2 February 2015 Curtis Stigers will be performing many great numbers from his new album, including as ‘If I Were a Bell’, ‘The Way You Look Tonight’ and, the title track, ‘Hooray For Love.’ He will also belt out some of his earlier classics from the 90s, such as ‘You’re All That Matters to Me’ and ‘I Wonder Why’.
