Show description – Beyond Bollywood
Beyond Bollywood is an emotional Indian dance show that stretches beyond love, passion and authentic Bollywood culture. What has been described as a “monsoon of emotion”, Beyond Bollywood lights up the stage with Indian folk dance at its most absorbing.
This enlivening show is centred on Shaily Shergill who travels to India from her home in Germany. Shaily hopes to make her mother’s dying wish come true – to save the family’s failing theatre.
Now this colourful show of vibrancy, passion, determination and incredible Indian folk dance is coming to the London Palladium.
Audiences can be prepared to be taken on an exhilarating tour of Indian culture at its most authentic.
The show features regional Indian dances, including Lezim, Kathak, Bihu, Garba and Kalbelia.
The very best creative talent in Bollywood join forces to give the show its incredibly artistic and powerful edge. Beyond Bollywood is directed, written and choreographed by Rajeev Goswami. The lyrics are by Irfan Siddiqui and the show features an original score by Salim-Sulaiman.
This spectacular dance performance will be running at the London Palladium for a limited eight weeks from 8 May until 27 June 2015.
This vibrant dance extravaganza will run for two hours and 15 minutes, including an interval.
