Wicked! West End musical sensation extends booking into 2016

Great news for Wicked fans… it has been announced that the incredible musical is opening its 19th new booking period, with performances now lasting well into April 2016…

Captivating audiences for longer at the Apollo Victoria Theatre 

Recently cited as “one of the greatest musicals of our time,” the much-loved and highly acclaimed show that tells the untold story of the Witches of Oz, is extending its booking period.

On Monday 2 February 2015, 500,000 new tickets will go on sale for performances until Saturday April 30, 2016.

West End’s 10th longest-running show

Having been enjoyed by more than six million people in London alone and recently marking its 3,500th performance, Wicked is now the tenth longest-running show in the West End.

Since premiering in Manchester in 2013, this phenomenal musical has already sold more than one million tickets during its multi record-breaking UK and Ireland Tour.

Further afield, Wicked has been seen by 45 million theatre goers in 13 different countries. It has won 100 international awards and remains “Broadway’s biggest blockbuster” in New York.

Good Housekeeping Reader Recommended

With more than 90% approval rates for the music, story, staging and visual experience, Wicked is also the first stage production to be Good Housekeeping Reader Recommended.

From February 2, 2015, Emma Hatton, playing Elphaba, Savannah Stevenson as Glinda, and Jeremy Taylor as Fiyero, will star in the London production. Joining them will be Liza Sadovy, Martyn Ellis, Philip Childs, Sam Lupton, Katie Rowley Jones, Natalie Andreou as a standby for Elphaba and Sophie Linder-Lee as a standby for Glinda.

Wicked will continue dazzling audiences of all ages at the Apollo Victoria Theatre.
