I Believe In Unicorns
I Believe In Unicorns has come to the West End this summer, showing at the Vaudeville Theatre in August. The stage adaptation of this enchanting and much-loved story by children’s author Michael Morpurgo, has been highly acclaimed, dubbed as an “utterly magical interactive show.”
The story is set in an intimate library brimming with books, each one telling an equally as fascinating story. The absorbing tale is centred on the bravery on a young boy named Tomas and the power and enthralment of books. The youngster despises school and reading books, preferring to spend his time meandering and playing in the mountains close to his home.
Tomas’ world is changed forever when he meets the Unicorn Lady (played by Danyah Miller) in his local library after being dragged there by his mother. Tomas is awestruck by the unicorn and her story and develops a new-found love for books. The youngster’s new passion proves instrumental in saving the library when his small village is shattered by war.
I Believe In Unicorns unravels the power of storytelling and how books and stories are capable of reaching out to their readers and turning lives upside down.

I Believe In Unicorns is running at the Vaudeville Theatre from Saturday 01 August – Sunday 30 August 2015. There are a mixture of daytime and evening performances between these dates. The show is suitable for children aged 5 and above.
