Multi award-winning actress Glenn Close is reprising her Tony-Award winning role as Norma Desmond in the much-loved musical Sunset Boulevard.
Based on Billy Wilder’s 1950 American black comedy/drama film, Sunset Boulevard explores the fate of Norma Desmond, an aging goddess of the silent screen, who sees her chance of making a comeback when she meets impoverished screenwriter Joe Gillis. As the pair’s relationship escalates, a dramatic story of violence, madness and tragedy unravels.
The ENO’s acclaimed orchestra blasts out much-loved Sunset Boulevard classics, including The Perfect Year, Sunset Boulevard and With One Look.
Sunset Boulevard also sees American director Lonny Price make a return to the London Coliseum directing all 43 performances.
