The multi-award winning musical Kinky Boots is inspired by a true story. The musical is based on a film written by Tim Firth and Geoff Deane, and tells the story of Charlie Price, who struggles to make a go of his inheritance – a lacklustre shoe factory in Northampton.
At least that is until Charlie finds inspiration from the stiletto-straddled Lola, who helps Charlie turn the factory around.
Kinky Boots has earned great reviews and has won numerous awards, including Best Musical at the 2016 Olivier Awards.
Kinky Boots is showing at the Adelphi Theatre where it is currently booking until January 14, 2017.
