Described as “hugely funny” by The Times and “compelling to watch” by The Guardian, My Family: Not The Sitcom provides a raw celebration of Baddiel’s late mother Sarah and his father Colin, who suffers from dementia. Many powerful themes are explored by Baddiel, including ageing, memory, dysfunctional families, infidelity, gay cats and moral policing on social media.
The show premiered at the Menier Chocolate Factory in May 2016 where it earned a string of great reviews. “This is a rare production that boasts side-splitting laughs and also move people to tears as Baddiel reminds us his mother was more than just wonderful.
