Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense is a comedy play directed by Sean Foley based on the advetures of toff Bertie Wooster and his faithful butler Jeeves.

Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense features P.G. Wodehouse’s iconic quintessentially British double act in a series of typical mishaps and misunderstandings when a perfectly delightful trip to the English countryside takes a turn for the worse. Bertie Wooster is unwittingly called upon to play matchmaker; reconciling the affections of his host’s drippy daughter Madeline Bassett with his newt-fancying acquaintance Gussie Fink-Nottle.

If Bertie, ably assisted by the ever-reliable Jeeves, can’t pull off the wedding of the season, he’ll be forced to abandon his much cherished bachelor status and marry the ghastly girl himself!

The role of the effervescent, aristocratic fool Bertie Wooster is played by James Lance and John Gordon Sinclair is playing the part of the dutiful butler Jeeves.

Director Sean Foley won the Olivier award for best comedy in 2002 for The Play Wot I Wrote. He has subsequently directed many West End hit comedies including more recently The Ladykillers at the Gielgud theatre in London, which is returning to the Vaudeville theatre in later in June.

Jeeves and Wooster were probably most famously portrayed on television in the ITV comedy drama series in the early 1990’s by Hugh Laurie as Bertie Wooster and his comedy partner Stephen Fry as Jeeves.

The show in London has been adapted from the P.G. Wodehouse books and promises to be a highly entertaining comedy drama with plenty of laughs, with an award-winning director and two fine accomplished British actors perfectly cast in James Lance and John Gordon Sinclair.

With such a limited season tickets are bound to sell out quickly, so book now to avoid disappointment.
