Amanda Holden to star in Stepping Out at the Vaudeville Theatre

It has been confirmed that the fabulous Amanda Holden will head the cast of the much-loved comedy, starring alongside a string of well-known names.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge will be joined by Nicola Stephenson, Tamzin Outhwaite, Angela Griffin and Tracy-Ann Oberman, in a highly talented, star-studded cast.

Written by Richard Harris in 1984, Stepping Out traces the lives of seven women and one man, all of whom join a weekly dance session in London. As the unlikely group of dancers begin to make some progression from what was a clumsy and bumbling start to their newfound pastime, they are asked to participate in a charity dance gala…

From loud-mouthed Maxine to timid Dorothy, anxious Andy to jolly Rose, not to mention conceited Vera, sparkling Sylvia, enthusiastic Lynne and, of course, Geoffrey and Mrs Fraser on the piano, spurring them all on, each member of the dance group boasts a different personality to the next and each has their own story to tell.

The production is directed by Maria Friedman, winner of three Olivier Awards and nominated for seven.

Stepping Out is showing at the Vaudeville Theatre from Wednesday March 1, 2017 until Saturday June 18, 2017.
