Cats is returning to the London Palladium for a 10-week run

Some exciting news has emerged on the West End. As the current West End season of Cats comes to an end, the much-loved musical will be returning to the London Palladium later in the year

Cats will continue to dazzle the West End playing for 10 weeks at the London Palladium  

Fans of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s 2015 Olivier Award nominated hit musical will be able to catch the iconic show, as Cats return for a limited ten-week season at the London Palladium.

The incredible musical that is based on T.S. Elliot’s ‘Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats’, is running from 23 October 2015 to 2 January 2016.

Casting for the Cats return has yet to be announced. The role of Grizabella has been previously played by Nicole Scherzinger and Kerry Ellis.

One of the West End’s longest-running shows

Cats premiered at the New London Theatre in 1981 and played there for a record-breaking 21 years. It has since become one of the longest-running shows in both West End and Broadway history. The award-winning musical, which has won Olivier and Evening Standard Awards for Best Musical, has played in more than 30 countries worldwide. It has been translated into ten languages and seen by an incredible 50 million people globally.

The new production of Cats will unite the original creative team once more, with direction by Trevor Nunn, associate direction and choreography by Gillian Lynne, design by John Napier and Andrew Lloyd Webber as composer.

Tickets for the new Cats production will go on sale on 14 May 2015.
