The Imagination Awards are split into two separate awards – Charlie’s Challenge and the Young Theatre Design Award.

Charlie’s Challenge is a national award that is split into three age categories from five to 15. The challenge of this category is to find creative and innovative ways to benefit a family member.

The winner of Charlie’s Challenge will receive an Imagination Pack that’s brimming with fabulous prizes designed to nurture creativity. The winner will also be invited on a VIP visit to watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the West End.

The Young Theatre Design Award is open to 16 – 18 year olds throughout the UK. Aspiring designers are tasked with submitting an original costume design or set for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This award is split into two separate categories, including Set Design and Costume Design.

The winner of each category will be invited to meet the production’s creative team in London, as well as watching the matinee performance and then witnessing the production backstage during an evening performance.
