Dame Judi Dench, acclaimed theatre actress and doyen is currently busy in rehearsals for Peter and Alice along with Bond co-star Ben Whishaw ahead of the opening of the show on the 9th March 2013.

Peter and Alice is part of the Michael Gandage season of plays at the Noel Coward theatre in London. Peter and Alice is a new play by John Logan with Dame Judi in the leading role. This is John Logan’s first new play since Red, which went on to win six Tony Awards in 2010. The play is directed by the award-winning director, Michael Gandage.

Dame Judi will be joined by the critically acclaimed actor Ben Whishaw following their screen appearance together as M and Q respectively in the latest Bond movie, Skyfall. Dame Judi plays Alice Liddell Hargreaves and Ben will be starring as Peter Llewelyn Davies, the real-life inspirations behind the fantasy characters Alice In Wonderland and Peter Pan.

When Alice Liddell Hargreaves met Peter Llewellyn Davies at the opening of a Lewis Carroll exhibition in 1932, the original Alice in Wonderland came face to face with the original Peter Pan. In John Logan’s remarkable new play, enchantment and reality collide as this brief encounter lays bear the lives of these two extraordinary characters.

Peter and Alice, the show in London at the Noel Coward theatre starts previews on the 9th March before the press night on the 25th March.
