Plans are afoot for a brand new Frank Sinatra musical. The new musical based on the life of old blue eyes himself, Frank Sinatra is expected to open in 2018.

Previously another production a multi-media concert, Sinatra: The Man and His Music, played at the London Palladium featuring film footage of Sinatra, a 24 piece orchestra and live dancing.
This time a musical based on the life of Frank Sinatra is being developed by ATG. The jukebox musical will feature songs from Sinatra’s extensive back catalogue. The man was truly a legend in his own lifetime and his legacy of great songs lives on.
Announcing the exciting news, executive producer Adam Speers said writing the musical’s book would “not be easy – as we have such a wealth of material to choose from”.
He further explained: “Sinatra’s life is fascinating – from his humble beginnings in New Jersey as the only child of Italian parents, through his rise to stardom, first as a chart-topping recording artist, selling over 150 million records worldwide and then as an Oscar award-winning Hollywood film star.
Then there were the Rat Pack days and his partnership with Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. And let’s not forget his personal life, which included friendships with American Presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry S. Truman, John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan, as well as relationships with some of the most beautiful and famous women of the day.”
The musical, as yet un-titled, has the full backing of Sinatra’s estate, whose record label Frank Sinatra Enterprises is co-producing the show alongside Stewart Till.
A spokesman for Frank Sinatra Enterprises said: “Frank Sinatra demonstrated a remarkable ability to appeal to every generation and continues to do so – he is timeless and his artistry continues to influence many of today’s music superstars.”
