“Viva Forever!“, a new musical of camaraderie, fame and loyalty, based on the career of the Spice Girls, is set to hit the West End in December 2012 at the Piccadilly Theatre.
The musical is to feature the group’s top hits including “Wannabe” and “Who Do You Think You Are”. Producer of “Mamma Mia!” Judy Cramer is confirmed to take the same role in the production of “Viva Forever!”.
The musical, to be directed by Paul Garrington and written by none other than Jennifer Saunders, will preview in November 2012; with the original Spice Girls to view the debut performance. Casting auditions are to commence at the start of summer, with the original idea to cast for “Viva Forever!” via a TV show believed to have been scrapped.
This looks sure to become one of West End’s hottest tickets for 2013 if the “Viva Forever!” musical is anything like the Spice Girls’ music!
