The Bodyguard stars celebrate
The stars from the hit musical The Bodyguard were out on the town painting it red last night.
As after show parties go this one was pretty sensational as cast and crew from one of London’s top hit musicals gathered together at The Hippodrome Casino to celebrate the continuing success of the show in London.
The Award-wining The Bodyguard musical is based on the smash hit film of the same name which starred Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston. It is now playing in London’s West End at the Adelphi theatre in the Strand.
Stars of the show including leads Gloria Onitiri, Debbie Kurup and Lloyd Owen put on their glitzy glad rags to party the night away. They all looked fabulous and enjoyed an evening of music, comedy, games & chat with celebrity guests.

A host of the hottest showbiz talent around joined in what was a cross between Who’s Line Is It Anyway, Celebrity Juice & Jonathan Ross at the newly refurbished London Hippodrome in Leicester Square. Champagne flowed and inhibitions dropped, it was a fun-filled riotous evening, enjoyed by all with laughter in abundance.
The Bodyguard musical tells the romantic love story of Rachel Marron who has to hire a bodyguard to protect her from a stalker. The plot takes various twists and turns as Rachel’s life is put under threat and an unlikely romance begins to blossom with her former secret service bodyguard, Frank Farmer played by Lloyd Owen.
The pace is fast, the sets stunning and the tension simply electric, as the threat on Rachel’s life becomes all too real and the identity of the perpetrator keeps you guessing right until the end. But above all it is the music that elevates this show to the dizzy heights with a whole host of Whitney Houston classic songs, including the legendary best-selling hit ‘I Will Always Love You’.
