A talented cast is coming to the West End in Breakfast at Tiffany’s
Matt Barber will fill the shoes of Fred in the new production. Barber is familiar face on television, best-known for playing Atticus Aldridge in the much-loved ITV drama Downton Abbey.
Well-established English actor Victor McGuire, who has starred in many a TV series, including Bread and Trollied, will be playing Joe Bell in the eagerly-anticipated stage version of the classic romantic novella.
Other members of the Breakfast at Tiffany’s cast include Naomi Cranston as Mag, Robert Calvert playing Doc, Tim Frances as Rusty Trawler and the Editor at 21, Charlie De Melo playing Jose, Melanie La Barrie as Mme Spanella, Andrew Joshi playing Yunioshi, Sevan Stephan as OJ Berman and Dr Goldman, as well as Andy Watkins and Katy Allen.
Pixie Lott to lead the show
The talented cast will be led by pop star Pixie Lott who is playing the lead role of the good-time girl of 1940s New York, Holly Golightly, who is known for breaking the heart of every man she meets. The role will mark Pixie Lott’s debut on the West End.
Joining the cast will be an onstage band with music composed by Grant Olding.
Tony and Olivier Award-winning playwright Richard Greenberg has adapted Capote’s classic romantic story and Nikolai Foster directs the new production.
Foster commented on the casting of the production, stating:
“It’s testament to the beauty of Capote’s imagination, the extraordinary characters he created and Greenberg’s faithful adaptation, that alongside Pixie and Matt, we have assembled such an accomplished company of actors to bring this dazzling play to life.”
Breakfast at Tiffany’s is showing at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from Wednesday 29 June until Saturday 17 September 2016.
