Described as “Blistering funny” and “Shockingly good”, the much-loved comedy Bad Jews plays a limited run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket before embarking on a nationwide tour

Joshua Harmon’s Bad Jews returns to the West End

A beloved grandfather has passed away. A cherished family heirloom is up for grabs. Which family member deserves the treasured piece?

Could it be Daphna, a bossy, overbearing and obsessively-religious soul? Or perhaps it’s her wealthy cousin Liam, who has just come back from a skiing tip with Melody, his non-Jewish girlfriend? Or could it be Liam’s brother Jonah, who would rather not be involved in the family heirloom dispute.

Bad Jews is written by Joshua Harmon and directed by Michael Longhurst. It is produced by Theatre Royal Bath Productions, Kenny Wax and Theatre Royal Haymarket Productions. The hit comedy stars Ilan Goodman, Aisla Joy, Jos Slovick and Antonia Kinlay.

Former sell-out seasons

The show’s visit to the Theatre Royal Haymarket follows sell-out seasons at the St James Theatre and the Arts Theatre, where it was met with great acclaim, earning a series of highly complimentary reviews.

Described as a “Visceral thrill” by the Evening Standard and as “Superlative… scaldingly funny” by The Telegraph, Bad Jews promises to have the auditorium in stitches at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.

Bad Jews is showing at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from Monday 8 February until Saturday 19 March, 2016. The show runs for one hour and 40 minutes without any interval. Due to some strong language, Bad Jews is only suitable for ages 14 and above.
