The much-loved game show of on-the-spot, improvisation mayhem and madness is being adapted by the stage as Whose Line Is It Anyway?… Live premieres at the Adelphi Theatre this June
The regular ‘Whose Line’ line-up will star in the stage premiere of the iconic show
‘Whose Line’ co-creators Dan Patterson and Mark Leveson are bringing the legendary show to the stage, working alongside the programme’s regular performers, Josie Lawrence, Colin Mochrie, Brad Sherwood and Greg Proops.
Like in the TV series, Clive Anderson will host Whose Line Is It Anyway?… Live, doing his best to keep the kings and queens of improvisation under control.
Whose Line Is It Anyway? started as a radio show for BBC Radio 4 in 1988 and was quickly made into a TV series.
Comprising of a panel of four performers who craft hilarious on-the-spot scenes, characters and songs, the improvisation game reached legendary status, spanning ten series and 136 episodes.
An iconic, much-loved show
Talking about returning to Whose Line Is It Anyway? once more, Clive Anderson said:
“It’s great to be back in charge of the iconic Whose Line Is It Anyway? – joining up with some of the show’s most impressive improvisers to play many of its best loved games, together with some exciting new features devised by its original creators.”
Co-created Dan Patterson is equally as thrilled, stating:
“I’m extremely excited to be bringing the official worldwide premiere to London’s West End.”
Whose Line Is It Anyway?… Live is showing for a limited two-week run at the Adelphi Theatre from 20 June to 5 July, 2015.
