New casting for ‘Les Miserables’ at the Queen’s Theatre has been announced

Sir Cameron Mackintosh, producer of a string of highly-successful West End musical hits, has announced the anticipated new casting for the incredible musical Les Miserables

Phil Daniels is to join the epic Les Miserables at the Queen’s Theatre 

In a star-studded line-up, it is now official that from June 15, 2015 Phil Daniels will play ‘Thenardier’, Jeremy Secomb as ‘Javert’, Rachelle Ano Go as ‘Fantine’, Katy Secombe will play ‘Madame Thenardier’ and Zoe Doano will star as ‘Cosette’.

Reprising their roles in Les Miserables is Peter Lockyer as ‘Jeam Valjean’, Rob Houchen as ‘Marius’ and Carrie Hope Fletcher as ‘Eponine’. Bradley Jaden who is currently playing in the ensembles will take on the role of ‘Enjolras’.

Phil Daniels to play Thernardier

Riveted to fame for his part in Quadrophenia and Scum, Phil Daniels is a well-known British who needs little introduction. Asides TV appearances in EastEnders, Poirot, New Tricks and more, Daniels has a string of theatre credits, including his most recent stage performance in the ‘Knight of the Burning Pestle’ at Shakespeare’s Globe.

Jeremey Secomb is another familiar face on the stage, having performed in ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ a Her Majesty’s Theatre and is currently playing the title role in Sweeney Todd at Harrington’s Pie and Mash Shop.

Rachelle Ann Go has been working with Cameron Mackintosh recently in the producer’s new production of ‘Miss Saigon’ at the Prince Edward Theatre. The well-known TV actress won the Best Supporting Actress in a Musical in the Whatsonstage Awards for her role as Gigi in Miss Saigon.

A global sensation

Les Miserables is now in its record-breaking 30th year. Cameron Mackintosh’s legendary production of the Boublil and Schonberg’s mesmerising play about unrequited love, passion and redemption, has been seen by more than 70 million people around the world in 22 different languages.

This classical musical is playing at the Queen’s Theatre until 26 March 2016.
