Based on Carol Lynn Pearson’s inspirational play, a new and intimate musical, Facing East in Concert, is to show at the West End for one night only this June

Facing East making its UK premiere at the Lyric Theatre 

Facing East in Concert is an exciting new musical that is centred on the American playwright Carol Lynn Pearson’s inspiring play, Facing East.

The play follows the story of an upstanding American Mormon couple’s attempt to deal with the suicide of their gay son. When the grieving couple unexpectedly meet their son’s gay partner, Marcus, they find themselves stuck between their faith and reality.

UK premiere 

The play enjoyed sell-out performances in 206 and 2007 in Salt Lake City.

Now, for one-night only, Facing East in Concert is making its UK premiere, showing at the Lyric Theatre for one night only.

This new musical is by David Rigano and Mark-Eugene Garcia. It is produced Nathan Gardner and Stephen McGill in association with Deborah Brannigan, Danny Brooke, Sean Bryan and Joel Marvin.

Featuring a talented cast

Facing East in Concert is narrated by Harriet Thorpe. This moving musical includes a great cast, starring Alasdair Harvey, Rebecca Lock, Peter DiCesare, and Michael Vinsen.

Facing East in Concert is showing at the Lyric Theatre on Monday June 22, 2015. It runs for 90 minutes without an interval.
