Fabulous news for The Bodyguard fans… the hugely acclaimed musical adaptation of the romantic thriller is heading back to London, showing at the Dominion Theatre and starring the incredible Beverley Knight
Beverley Knight will take centre stage at the Dominion Theatre this year
Hailed as ‘Brilliant’ by the critics, the breath-taking stage adaptation of The Bodyguard is returning to the West End once more, with the prolific Beverley Knight stepping into the shoes of Rachel Marron.
Based on the immensely successful 1992 hit film, which starred Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, The Bodyguard tells the story of Frank Farmer, former Secret Service who’s tasked with the job of protecting superstar singer Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker. Unsuspected events unfold, the least expected being Frank and Rachel falling in love.
Featuring music from the award-winning soundtrack
The acclaimed musical features the original film soundtrack, which won the 1994 Grammy Award for Album of the Year and became one of the best-selling soundtracks of all time, selling over 45 million copies worldwide.
Audiences at the Dominion Theatre can expect to see the incredibly talented Beverley Knight perform Whitney Houston classics, including Saving All My Love, One Moment in Time, I Wanna Dance With Somebody, and of course the legendary I Will Always Love You, which went on to be the best-selling single by a female artist in musical history.
Described as “Slick, sassy and so emotional” and as “London’s best musical”, you have another opportunity to witness hugely successful musical adaptation of The Bodyguard, as it returns to the West End, showing at the Dominion Theatre from 15 July 2016 until 7 January 2017.
