Following a smash hit, sell-out run earlier this year at the Menier, Florian Zeller’s The Truth is coming to the West End, for a limited 11-week run

The Truth comes to London’s Wyndham’s Theatre

Described as a biting new play that focuses on two couples and explores the complex world of friendship, suspicion, deceit and the truth, the Theatre Royal Bath Productions and the Menier Chocolate Factory Productions present Florian Zeller’s The Truth at the Wyndham’s Theatre.

This moving new play is directed by Lindsay Posner, well known for his West End performances, as well as his work at the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal Court Theatre and the National Theatre.

The cast who performed in The Truth at the Menier are transferring to the West End, including Tanya Franks, Alexander Hanson, Frances O’Connor and Robert Portal.

The French novelist and playwright Florian Zeller was described by The Guardian as the “most exciting new theatre writer of our time.” Zeller’s play The Father, is currently showing on Broadway and is dubbed as the most acclaimed new play of the past decade. This globally acclaimed play won the 2014 Moliere Award for Best Play, received an Olivier nomination, and has been nominated for the award for Best New Play at this year’s Tony Awards.

This new version of Zeller’s The Truth is by Christopher Hampton. The Portuguese British playwright, film director and screenwriter, is best known for his play that was based on the novel ‘Les Liaisons Dangereuses’, as well as for writing the screenplay for the film adaptation of Atonement by Ian McEwan.

The Truth is showing at the Wyndham’s Theatre for a limited 11-week season, starting on June 22, 2016 and running until September 3, 2016. A press night will take place on June 27, 2016 at 7pm.
