Ike and Tina Turner’s dramatic life story is to be transformed in to a new musical, Soul Sister, playing at the Savoy Theatre from 20th August to 29th September 2012.
The musical follows their time together; from the first meeting and subsequent rise to stardom in the 60s and 70s, through to their turbulent marriage and finally to Tina Turner’s gripping re-emergence as an international rock star and icon.
Soul Sister stars Emi Wokama of Hairspray as Tina and Chris Tummings of The Harder They Come as Ike, and the musical features many of Tina Turner’s greatest hits including What’s Love Got To Do With It and Simply The Best.
