The St. James Theatre is the newest theatre to be built in London’s West End, opening its doors to the public in September 2012. The building sits upon the site of the former Westminster Theatre which was demolished after being damaged by a fire in 2002.

Since opening, productions have included Sandi Toksvig’s Bully Boy, Daddy Long Legs, and Cinderalla: Based on Grimm’s Fairy Tale, whilst the studio space has showcased excellent cabaret, jazz and comedy.

The theatre complex, which is the first to be newly built in Central London for 30 years, was designed by Foster Wilson Architects. The complex features a 312 seat theatre, a 100 seat Studio space, a brasserie and lobby bar, and the Carrara Restaurant so you can have a bite to eat a glass of fine wine or a cocktail before the show.

St. James Theatre, located just a stone’s throw away from Buckingham Palace, offers visitors the chance to take in a spot of sightseeing and is within walking distance of Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, and Hyde Park.
